Visual and functional connections between the microscopic and cosmic realms conjure the mysterious and sometimes a sense of the divine. As an artist, I examine these connections – and the consistency of nature’s forms – at the intersection of art, dreams and science. My primary media include printmaking, installation, and digital media. As an amateur scientist, monoprint techniques allow me to be both artist and experimenter most successfully. My works are composed of many layers, or passes, that bury and reveal imagery, texture and data. My process is also playful, including methods such as Paper Litho and sculptural printmaking – both of which I have adapted into signature techniques.
