My art combines contemporary relief printmaking with science themes and geometry based compositions. I often use multiple blocks in a modular fashion, or a single block carefully designed to tessellate. As a scientific illustrator, my nature inspired prints are species specific and often celebrate biodiversity or ecological relationships. I have developed a distinctive style which incorporates precision in technique, complexity and balance in composition, yet is infused with organic beauty. Recent works have also focused on Chinese American experience.
