I explore the processing of visual information, the appearance of random and then repetitive patterns. I intend to offer a viewer the experience of learning where their eyes land, which color they find first, why their eyes move as they do across and down and up the pieces.
More recently my work is focused on encoded language, using 10 colors representing numerals one through nine and zero, with three additional colors representing spaces and punctuation.
Most recently I am experimenting with reworking pieces using part of other destroyed pieces, letting two or more pieces become one different, though not technically new, piece.
